CREDIT REPORTS
In this day and age it is essential to keep on top of your credit, this is true for everyone but especially if you are contemplating buying.
The link below goes to a web site that allows you to request a free report (and it is truly free). It is commonly called a credit report, and it is available free of charge in California once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
I recommend that you check your credit at least once a year...maybe more. You can access each of the three reporting agencies at different times of the year, that way if something troublesome appears on one, it is most likely that it will show on the others and you can clean them up quickly.
The site will also ask you if you want to pay for your FICO scores. This expenditure is not necessary because these scores will be different when they are run by an official lender or bank because they use a collaborative web site and not individual reporting agencies.
The site is www.AnnualCreditReport.com is the official site to help consumers to obtain their free credit report.
Click the graphic below to go there.
REMEMBER: YOU CAN ONLY DO THIS WITHOUT CHANGE ONCE EVERY YEAR ...TO EACH COMPANY.
